Music Orchestrator is being built as a professional Mac app for composers, arrangers, educators, copyists, and musicians who need native documents, readable output, and open exchange paths.

Scoped MusicXML and Standard MIDI import/export paths report unsupported data instead of pretending every external file maps perfectly.

- Start from a blank score, setup wizard, MusicXML, MIDI, or an existing .orchestra document.
- Edit score metadata, instrumentation, notes, voices, articulations, lyrics, chord symbols, rehearsal marks, and supported layout controls.
- Prepare deterministic playback events, export supported score data, and render PDF output from the engraving layout foundation.
Clear scope
Public claims match the implementation path.
The first public site is App Store-safe and intentionally careful: it describes the implemented foundations and avoids broad compatibility or playback claims until those systems ship.
- Playback preparation exists, but full audible playback and rendered audio export remain future work.
- MusicXML and MIDI support are scoped foundations with diagnostics, not complete compatibility promises.
- Finale migration uses user-exported MusicXML/PDF references; Music Orchestrator is not affiliated with Finale or any proprietary notation product.
